How to Talk About Race and Identity with Older Children

 

As children get older, they continue to pick up messages about race and develop racial bias just by living in our society. Upper elementary school students between ages 8 to 10 are ready to dive deeper into conversations about identity and race, and are able to think about larger social justice themes.

Parents and guardians can start guiding children in understanding their own biases and dedicate to anti-racism work using the resource guide below, created by Mansi Vasa, Corlears Director of Equity, Inclusion & Community Life.
